Franklin
Good Morning My Sweet One-
I have had a couple of bad nights in a row recently and all I want to do is snuggle and cuddle you to make myself feel better. Thankfully I have Franklin. Franklin is your furry brother who was very excited to meet you, and I think is a little confused by everything that is going on. He definitely knows that something isn't right and can feel the sadness looming over our house. He's always been quite the lovable, snuggly pup, but has become super attached to me since we've been home, never leaving my side. I think he knows I need some extra cuddles these days. I like to think that you had something to do with that, and that those extra cuddles are actually coming from you. I started taking pictures to capture the extra lovin' I've been getting. You would have loved him very much. I had visions of you growing up with Franklin by your side. He would have loved you very much too.
You may notice his belly is shaved. You see, the day we found out we had lost you, we had dropped Franklin off at the animal hospital for a surgery to fix a problem he had that was making it hard for him to walk. I was very sad dropping him off that morning and cried a little as they took him back for surgery, but I was so excited to get to see a 3D picture of you later that day, that I was able to cheer up in the car. Little did we know, our whole life was about to get turned upside down. I learned very quickly how precious life is, and that it can be taken away in the blink of an eye. I wish so badly you could be curled up with us on the couch, but for now, I will appreciate the little puppy that we still get to see everyday, and take all the snuggles he will give me, because I know they're coming from you too.
